USS LIBERTY PHOTO ALBUM

USS LIBERTY -- November 1966

In those days of 1966, the big TRSSCOM satellite dish antenna was not yet installed on the fantail of the Liberty.

The fantail was well-used for volleyball games, but everyone's favorite were the cookouts that were held there.

The guys on the ship who could entertain did so, and got up and showed us that we did, indeed, have some talent aboard ship.

We just happen to have some old, old audio recordings of some of the goings-on, and if you have Real Audio, you can hear them right here.

The audio tapes were recorded on November 25, 1966 with the Liberty off the west coast of Africa. Please allow time for Real Audio to connect and to buffer about 15- 30 seconds of the file. It's worth the wait.

Bob Scarborough and his group, we think, consisting of Bob Ringe, Tom Thornton, Larry Goins and Phil Tiedtke. Tom Thornton and Phil Tiedtke were killed in the Israeli attack in June 1967. If you can identify any of the entertainers, please email me at: EMARK@mn.rr.com -- I would like to correct the page and would most appreciate it.

Thanks,
